Empowering Women for Better Employment
EMPOWERED | All about the training program
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in many women being forced out of the workforce, losing more jobs than their male counterparts. This has also further setbacks in terms of reaching gender parity in the workforce.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2022, results indicate that it will take women 132 years to reach full equality with men in the workforce. There is an immediate need to improve and accelerate our efforts for equitable recovery.
To contribute towards this need, Wisefour Innovation and Development Organisation Ltd (Cyprus)alongside partners from Asociatia Culturala ARTEC (Romania), COMUNE DI CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO (Italy), Found.ation Maker’s Place Private Company (Greece), and Mindshift Talent Advisory lda (Portugal) are working on the EMPOWERED project in order to enable women in the EU to re-enter the labour market.
To achieve this level of empowerment for women, the EMPOWERED Project is in the process of developing a training program that incorporates both psychological dimensions and digital upskilling.
The benefits of improving women’s digital skills in particular will help to bridge the existing skills gap and boost growth.
The EMPOWERED training program will also future proof the careers of women.
📈Based on 2022 LinkedIn data, the fastest growing job categories are in the technological industry with further future projections that indicate approximately nine out of ten jobs will require digital skills.
📈Furthermore, the psychological dimensions of the training program are aligned with the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report.
