ORION - 1ST LTTA IN KALAMATA
Erasmus+ European Project
Online Orientation for Youth
ORION | 1ST LTTA IN KALAMATA
The first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activities) Meeting of the ORION Project took place in the sunny city of Kalamata in Greece from the 11th to the 13th of April 2022. The hosting organization KANE welcomed all partners in their premises and organized a structured programme, tailor-made to the participants’ needs and requirements.
During this 3-day event, representatives from all partner organizations had the opportunity to engage in group activities, collaborate in various exercises, and attend lectures and presentations from several experts.
On the first day of the event, KANE’s founder/director Mr. Filaretos Vourkos made a presentation of the organization and its projects/activities. All participants had the chance to talk about their respective organizations and share valuable information regarding their structure and operational processes, as well as their organizations’ needs and general objectives. Later on, the very interesting lecture ‘How to create a Youth Center – Let’s get practical!’ led to an informative group discussion during which all partners had the opportunity to express their thoughts and queries.

The second day started with the lecture ‘Formal education, Non-formal and Informal Learning’ by KANE’s project manager Mrs. Fotini Arapi and continued with group exercises and teamwork activities on the development of non-formal learning tools and methods. The presentation ‘Creating curricula and training courses to support young people’ that followed gave the trigger for a very constructive group discussion and another interesting team activity.
During the third and last day of the LTTA Meeting in Kalamata, Mrs. Vassiliki Dadavassili, founder of the boutique translation interpreting agency ‘Liaison’, made a presentation on CV writing and the importance of the cover letter. Important aspects of that subject were examined, (how to write a CV, its aim, content, type, customization, the importance of the cover letter and how to write one, etc.) and all partners shared their point of view and finally gained valuable knowledge to transfer to their organizations and ultimately to the young people they are working with.
The 3-day event ended with a walk around the historical center of Kalamata and the visit to the city’s castle where all partners enjoyed a nice view of the city. With the best memories in their minds, all partners renewed their appointment for the next LTTA in Spain.
