Empowering Women for Better Employment
Empowered | 2nd LTTA IN Cyprus
The Wisefour team was delighted to start off the year by welcoming the EMPOWERED partners to the second Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) in the coastal city of Limassol, Cyprus from the 10th of January to the 14th of January 2023.
Wisefour had a full agenda planned for the 5-day engagement, including three core phases starting off with presentations, followed by module evaluations, activities workshop, and concluding with discussions on the upcoming project activities. Following the efforts and progress made during the first LTTA last year, a total of 13 modules were established, comprising of topics related to digital skills and soft skills. In preparation for the most recent LTTA in Cyprus, modules were distributed and prepared by partners according to predefined templates and guidelines.

Empowered | 2nd LTTA IN cyprus
Phase 1: Presentations
Starting off Day 1 of the LTTA all partner organizations were welcomed from Romania, Italy, Portugal, and Greece, by the Cypriot partners. Following this, a short introduction was provided on the running of the LTTA. Phase 1 Presentations of the LTTA began shortly after, where each organization was afforded the opportunity to present their prepared modules, giving observing partners the opportunity to interact with and internalize the content. This also gave an opportunity for comments by partners on valuable improvements for each module and complementary content recommendation that could be translated from one module to another within the training programme. By Day 2, when the presentations had reached an end point, a holistic view of all the modules was gauged by all present on exactly what can be expected from the overall EMPOWERED training programme.
Phase 2: Module Evaluation
Once all 13 modules had been presented, Day 2 continued with the second phase of the agenda which involved Module Evaluations. The 13 modules were distributed so that each partner had the opportunity to evaluate two to three modules prepared by one of the other partners. The evaluation process involved working through the module content and critically reviewing the learning units against the contents provided. A streamlined evaluation processed was followed where partners objectively evaluated the modules assigned to them by completing the Module Evaluation Form. This module evaluation process continued to the end of Day 3 to allow partners the necessary time to thoroughly revise each of their assigned modules, complete the evaluation forms and provide overall comments after each round of evaluation.
Phase 3: Module ACTIVITIES WORKSHOP
Day 4 commenced with the start of the final phase of the LTTA. Phase 3 involved a Module Activities Workshop, giving the opportunity to trial the group related and individual activities developed for each of the modules. The active participation in each of the activities allowed partners to place themselves in the shoes of potential learners and realistically consider their learning experience in a self-study or instructor-led format. Initially the activities associated with the digital skills modules were tried and tested, followed by a round table discussion on what worked well and potential improvements. Next up, the activities associated with the soft skills modules were trialed and this was too concluded by a round table discussion on potential improvements.
To end off the final hours of the LTTA, Day 5 ended with partners discussing the next steps of the current and upcoming project results, namely, PR2: Training Programme for Women and PR3: Handbook for Teachers and Trainers.
Overall, the second LTTA in Cyprus produced an effective and efficient pre-test of the modules, giving partners valuable feedback to implement in order to further enhance their modules and ultimately the EMPOWERED training programme as a whole.
The EMPOWERED consortium looks forward to meeting one another once again in Athens, Greece during March 2023 for the next Transnational Project Meeting (TPM).
