Empathy and Sustainability: The Art of Thinking Like a Mountain
EMPACT is a highly pioneering project which adopts an innovative approach in advocating for the climate crisis based on the idea that the concept of empathy can shed new light on how we understand and embody sustainability in the arts.
The Kick-off Meeting of the Creative Europe project “EMPACT — Empathy and Sustainability: The Art of Thinking Like a Mountain” successfully took place physically on October 5-6, 2022 at the Limassol Municipal University Library organized by the project coordinator, the Cyprus University of Technology, marking the official launch of its activities.
The meeting was inaugurated with a welcome note and opening remarks by the project coordinator Dr. Efi Kyprianidou, giving the opportunity to all project partners to present themselves and the organizations they represent.
The Kick-off Meeting allowed partners to discuss the project procedures, establishing the guidelines for a successful and effective implementation. A review and in-depth examination of all project activities and deliverables set in the project proposal were made.
We had also the honour to have as an invited speaker Nenad Bogdanovic, representative of the Cyprus Creative Europe Desk, who contributed to the success of the meeting by providing useful information on the Creative Europe program, its aims and priorities as well as guidance to the members of the consortium.
