ECO-MEDIA FINAL MEETING

The ECO-MEDIA Project partners were very excited and motivated to meet face-to-face for the Final Event. The consortium met in the picturesque city of Vienna, Austria, and was welcomed by the hosting organization Vienna Association of Education Volunteers on 04 October 2023.

The meeting came at the perfect time when certain Intellectual Outputs were ready to be closed and new Intellectual Outputs were ready to commence. In addition to working on the Intellectual Outputs, time was dedicated to the administrative aspects of the project and dissemination of the project activities.

The meeting started off with the Project Coordinator Ayuntamiento de la Palma Del Condado (Spain) covering important matters with regard to project management such as the timing of the project, financial and technical reporting as well as the final steps of the project. It was agreed by the partnership to receive the project an extension for 1 month until 31 January. Following this, partners began presenting the present and upcoming Intellectual Outputs. Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece), the leader for Intellectual Output 3, presented an overview of the final steps for the finalization of the modules and all the partners agreed to translate the modules by the end of October. In the next segment of the meeting Vienna Association of Education Volunteers (Austria), leader of Intellectual Output 4 which is an Online Learning platform, presented the action plan and the timetable for the upload of the modules. The feedback regarding the platform was also discussed and presented and suggested potential changes for the platform. By mid-November (15th of November) everything will be uploaded to the e-learning platform and the modules will be free and available to the public. Vienna Association of Education Volunteers (Austria) and all partners, discussed the piloting phase of modules. The piloting will involve 15 youth workers per partner country (5 youth workers from NGOs, youth centres and foundations; 5 social workers and school guides from high school; 5 mentors, tutors and professionals from organizations working with youth) and 25 youngsters (18-29 years old). The piloting will be implemented online and in person depending on each partner. The piloting will take place between the 15th of November (once the platform is ready) and the 15th of December.
Multiplier events from each partner except for La Palma, will be organized in January of 2024. In the next segment of the meeting Kestävän Kehityksen Instituutti Ry (Finland), presented the reviewed Sustainability Plan, including more feasible and concrete goals. Finally, the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece) presented the status regarding the dissemination, the updates and the next steps. IED will soon present the 13th newsletter of the project.
