CENTAUR FINAL CONFERENCE IN GREECE

The Final Conference of the CENTAUR project took place in the beautiful city of Athens in Greece. For two days, Monday, February 20th and Tuesday, February 21st, the hosting organization Akadimaiko Diadiktyo (GUnet) welcomed all partners and organized a flawless event.
FIRST DAY OF THE CONFERENCE
The conference was inaugurated with a welcome note and opening remarks by the representative of the host organization and member of the project’s consortium Dr. Pantelis Balaouras. After that, an overall presentation of the project was made by Dr. Thomas Wenzel, representative of the CENTAUR coordinating organization DHBW. A demonstration of the eLearning platform and its various functionalities followed, and after that, Mrs. Björg J. Birgisdóttir, Director of Academic Affairs at LISTAHASKOLI ISLANDS (Iceland), made a presentation on the exercises that were developed in the framework of the project. Later on, the representative of Blickpunkt Identität (Austria), Mag. Klaus Linde-Leimer, thoroughly demonstrated the functions of the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT).
Following, guest speakers took the stage; More specifically, Ass. Prof. Antonis Livieratos, Academic Advisor at the Archimedes Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, made a presentation on “Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens” (NKUA). Later on, the MUSEOTEK platform was presented and all participants engaged in a roundtable discussion on the upcoming trends in the cultural sector and the ways that collaboration among various entities in the sector can be achieved.
In the framework of the conference, the CENTAUR consortium started its internal meeting with the aim to discuss the overall progress of the project, to evaluate the project results, and finally to set the timeframe for the remaining project management and financial management tasks.
In the evening of the same day the partners had the opportunity to walk around the historical center of Athens and spend time together!
SECOND DAY OF THE CONFERENCE
The second day started with a discussion on the overall progress of the project and the implementation of the Intellectual Outputs. All relevant issues were examined in detail to ensure the high quality of the outcomes. After that, CENTAUR’s dissemination leader, Mrs. Björg Stefánsdóttir, made an online intervention and presented the dissemination plan/strategy, as well as the tasks that remain to be done. The sustainability plan of the project was also discussed in detail. A Q&A session followed where all partners had the chance to go through several issues that required further clarification. The second day concluded with a summary of all the subjects that were discussed and the decisions that were made during the 2-day conference.
PROJECT'S IMPLEMENTATION
The innovative project CENTAUR is being implemented in Cyprus through the ERASMUS+ Programme and the collaboration of of Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Stuttgart, Blickpunkt Identität (Austria), Wisefour Innovation and Development Organisation Ltd (Cyprus), LISTAHASKOLI ISLANDS (Iceland), and AKADIMAIKO DIADIKTYO (Greece).
