EMPOWERED Transnational Meeting.
The first face-to-face Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the EMPOWERED Project took place in the capital city of Lisbon in Portugal.
The consortium convened on 24 – 25 October 2022 to work on the EMPOWERED Project, where the hosting organization, MINDSHIFT, and coordinator, ARTEC, welcomed partners and provided a meeting overview to prepare partners on the running order of the day.
This meeting provided the ideal opportunity for partner organizations to discuss the current status of the project, and prepare for the upcoming project results that will soon commence or are currently in progress. Once the project results were presented and discussed, the management, dissemination and exploitation, and quality assurance plans of the project were delivered.

In conclusion, the preparations for the upcoming multiplier events and project meetings were arranged.
FIRST DAY OF THE MEETING
Partners prepared presentations to share ideas and enter discussion on the upcoming project results. The first point for presentation and discussion included Project Result 2, the EMPOWERED training programme for women. Since the developmental phase of the training programme took place at the first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activity) meeting in Athens, Greece, the partners have been busy developing the learning outcomes for the planned 13 modules. MINDSHIFT who is the Project Result 2 leader, provided insights on the final learning outcomes and shared the next steps on the guidelines and templates for the training content adaptations and development. An action plan alerting partners about important dates for each task was shared. In parallel to the training programme, the Empowered Handbook for teachers and trainers was presented by Wisefour who is the lead partner of Project Result 3. Wisefour presented the proposed contents required for adult education trainers and providers, and the next steps were discussed towards completing the associated handbook tasks successfully. With some iterations, all partners reached the agreement that Project Result 3 will take shape once certain tasks have been completed on Project Result 2.
Following this Found.ation who is the lead partner of Project Result 4 shared a presentation on EMPOWERED community platform. A demonstration of ideas and recommendations were provided for partners to discuss and provide feedback on the platform. It was also discussed how the platform should ideally be integrated into the EMPOWERED Project website. During the discussions of Project Result 2-4, it was emphasised that all partners will work towards to a cohesive brand identity across all project results. MINDSHIFT will make the template available to all partners which will serve as a starting point.


SECOND DAY OF THE MEETING
Once the pending project results were discussed, ARTEC provided a management overview regarding the overall progress of the project and latest communication with the National Agency. ARTEC is also one of the leading Dissemination partners and updated the consortium on the detailed dissemination strategy and partner responsibilities for the duration of the project. Partners had the opportunity to discuss value added input to the dissemination plan and reach agreement on the next required steps.
After a short break, the partners reconvened to discuss the Quality Assurance Plan, lead by ARTEC, who indicated the status of the project and any areas that needed attention. At this stage it was specified that the project is progressing at the required pace. The final area of discussion was to plan and agree upon the upcoming meetings of the EMPOWERED Project. Calendars for were looked at closely so that planning for 2023 could commence. Dates were set for the upcoming TPMs in Athens, in March, followed by Romania, in June, and then Italy, in November. The EMPOWERED Project also looks forward to two Multiplier Events in 2023 that will involve the target group and various stakeholders who will be involved hands on in the progress of the project.
In closing, the dates of the upcoming second LTTA were confirmed for January 2023 in Cyprus and a summary of all the talking points were brought forward for partners to provide necessary updates accordingly upon their return home. After a day of hard work, the consortium had the opportunity to enjoy enjoyed a social dinner and see some sites in the capital city of Portugal.

The project is being implemented in Romania through the ERASMUS+ Programme and the collaboration of organization Asociatia Culturala ARTEC (Romania), COMUNE DI CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO (Italy), Found.ation Maker’s Place Private Company (Greece), MINDSHIFT Talent Advisory lda (Portugal) and Wisefour Innovation and Development Organisation Ltd (Cyprus).
