What is coaching?

The term is thought to have been first used informally, meaning that a tutor was present only to assist a student in achieving a certain goal, or getting from point A to point B. Nowadays, managers and leaders are expected to be proactive and use coaching methods to drive learning and development throughout the organization while also increasing efficiency. There is less reliance on external specialists in the transformation process when such a business culture is developed.

But how can coaching sessions help with productivity in the work environment? Here are a few of the reasons why it improves work performance;
